Major December Holidays

December 25: Christmas

Do we really need to say much about Christmas? It’s one of the most popular and profitable holidays of the year. It’s important to make sure your customers know you’re open for business.

Marketing Inspiration

People love buying Christmas gifts, so make sure they’re buying their gifts from you. The best way to do this is to use social media and an email campaign so you can always be in their sight.

With social media, make sure to highlight your products by posting a ton of photos of them. Make sure to always include “Christmas” and “gift” in your captions. Someone who is mindlessly scrolling through will see those words easily if Christmas gifts are on their mind.

With email, doing a countdown to Christmas is a good idea. This way you can email them multiple times without being annoying. Make sure each subject line shows how many days they have left to get products in time for Christmas.

Using both of these methods, you’re sure to make some last-minute Christmas sales.

December 26: Boxing Day

Boxing Day is similar to Black Friday, though this holiday is more popular in Europe and Canada. Boxing Day is all about sales! If you want to make some end-of-the-year profits, you should use this holiday to help market your store.

Marketing Inspiration

Emails will be great for this holiday. Create an email campaign that focuses on sales and discounts. Make sure to highlight those discounts in the subject header.

You can also create special promo codes that only work on this holiday. If you choose to do this, make sure to mention it in the email as well.

December 31: New Year’s Eve

While not being the most profitable holiday, you can still create some products or sales around New Year’s Eve. People like to host special parties for this holiday and look for themed products, or you can create an “end of the year clean out sale” for your products.

Marketing Inspiration

Depending on what you want to do, there are different ways to market yourself. If you are going the product route, use social media to connect with your party planning customers. Show your products with high-quality images and ask your audience what their New Year’s Eve plans are.

If you’re going the sales route, emails will be a better choice. Choose a subject line that will grab readers’ attention while conveying you’re having a sale. Build up the excitement by having multiple emails up until the day of the sale.
